Israel: Intel Smart Building with 3D DooH

Tel Aviv | With over 10,000 employees—70% of whom are developers—Intel is Israel’s largest private employer. Near Tel Aviv, the company has built a smart office building for more than 2,000 employees. The building also features Israel’s second-largest LED display, making it a striking landmark.

For 50 years, Israel has been one of the world’s most important locations for Intel’s development and production. The first WiFi chips and Intel Core CPUs were developed here. Now it’s also home to an important AI development center.

More than 10,000 experts work for Intel in Israel – in Haifa (development center for processors and AI), in Tel Aviv (development center for communications and AI solutions), and in Jerusalem (development center for communications, software and cybersecurity. The country also hosts the global development center for autonomous cars (Mobileye) and Intel’s most modern manufacturing facility in Kiryat Gat.

Apple, Google, and Microsoft also each have several thousand developers working at locations spread across Israel. But none of the major IT companies are as visually present as Intel. Especially on the outskirts of Tel Aviv, where Intel’s Smart Building features a huge 3D LED Wall.

To attract Israeli talent, Intel has upped the ante at its new development center in Petah Tikva, a suburb of Tel Aviv. The building is equipped with environmentally friendly systems, a smart gym, and a massage parlor, and also has 14,000 sensors that monitor movement, light, and air to ensure that employees are comfortable.

The second largest outdoor LED in Israel dominates the outside. The 309m² Absen LED was installed to greet employees as well as international customers and partners. The screen shows video content – mostly with 3D effects. During rush hour, Intel informs employees and general road users with current traffic information – relevant information in traffic-congested Israel.
