In 2024, E-Paper displays went from being an exotic niche technology to a leading solution for sustainable digital signage. Suppliers such as Dynascan, PPDS, Samsung and Sharp had presented their first models, mostly still in small form factors. In 2025, large-format E-Paper displays up to 75 inches will become available.

E Ink: Launch of 75″ E-Paper Displays
The first 75″ color E-Paper display using E Ink technology was unveiled this weekend at the NRF Vusion booth in New York City. , according to Agile Display has also already announced a 75″ for the ISE. We expect more extra large-format prototypes in Barcelona.
In 2024, invidis visited E Ink’s new large-format E-Paper production facilities in China, which were still under construction at the time. It was impressive to see how the market leader, headquartered in Taiwan, is scaling its technology from tiny ESLs to large-format displays through E-Book readers.
E Ink CTO joins invidis at DSS ISE
E Ink CTO Ian French from Taiwan HQ will join invidis on stage for the DSS ISE Fireplace Talk, followed by an E-Paper panel discussion with display manufacturers.
The discussion will cover the current state of E-Paper technology, future developments, and pricing trends. While E-Paper displays remain significantly more expensive than standard LCDs, the goal is to reduce costs to just 1.5 to 2 times that of conventional LCDs.
