2024: Zetadisplay Grows by 19%

The Swedish digital signage integrator Zetadisplay concludes 2024, a year marked by restructuring, with a 19 percent revenue growth. For the full year, Zetadisplay generated sales totaling 54.5 million euros, with 42 percent of that coming from recurring revenue.

Anyone who enters Zetadisplay’s new headquarters in the heart of Malmö will hardly recognize the company. Housed in a former hat factory from the Wilhelminian era, the space feels more like a cool start-up than a digital signage integrator that had become a bit dusty in recent years. Since CEO Anders Olin took over the integrator as President and CEO in 2023, hardly a stone has been left unturned.

The “reboot” of the European digital signage provider with Swedish roots was urgently needed. The entry of the financial investor Hanover, numerous acquisitions, including Nordland and Peak Media in the DACH region, and many personnel changes allowed the group to grow quickly. But the necessary integration of product, services, and culture could not keep pace.

Under the leadership of Anders Olin, Zetadisplay has completed a lot of its homework and has positioned itself for the future. The company saw a 19% increase in sales, reaching 54.5 million euros (up from 45.7 million euros in 2023), outpacing market growth. The acquisition of Beyond Digital in the UK also contributed to this growth. Zetadisplay will release detailed figures in April.

Losses significantly reduced

The company figures published today show that not everything went perfectly in 2024. Zetadisplay still recorded an operating loss of EUR 3.7 million for the full year. In the previous year, this was still EUR 9.5 million.

Zetadisplay secured several new customers, including a framework contract for Hyundai car dealerships in Germany, a digital signage rollout across 1,000 Praktikertjänst clinics in Sweden, and an exclusive public transport framework contract in Oslo. Additionally, the company successfully extended its multi-year global framework contract with its largest retail customer, most likely Ikea.

As part of the integration of Beyond Digital Solutions in Great Britain, thousands of digital signage touchpoints from Beyond customers are being moved to the Zetadisplay platform.

invidis comment

Without proper integration, high revenue figures don’t hold much value. Zetadisplay has undergone the sometimes painful process of restructuring in recent quarters. This included the reorganization of its German subsidiary, a change in management, and the discontinuation of non-digital signage activities.

The success of these measures has already become evident in 2024. New customers were acquired, particularly in Sweden, a market that had been neglected in recent years. Processes and platforms were standardized, and the team was sworn into the new Zetadisplay spirit.
