Remote Device Management: Brightsign Scales Control Plus With AWS
Brightsign has deployed its premium Control Plus device management platform on Amazon Web Services, providing the cloud infrastructure needed to manage large digital signage fleets worldwide.
The AWS integration is the latest development for Control Plus, which invidis examined following its introduction at Infocomm 2026. The paid service gives IT managers, integrators and multisite operators a consolidated view of their networks, including health dashboards, automated alerts and AI-assisted diagnostics.
Brightsign said AWS allows Control Plus to support more than 300,000 players already deployed worldwide, with capacity for further growth. The platform can manage anything from a small group of players to thousands of networks, with support for simultaneous software updates, self-healing processes, bulk actions and scheduled jobs.
Cloud infrastructure for large networks
Control Plus uses several AWS services, including Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, EC2, RDS and AWS Control Tower. Brightsign said the combination provides continuous security monitoring and consistent governance while supporting content storage and delivery at scale.
The company is positioning the deployment as part of its broader shift beyond hardware. As invidis’ Florian Rotberg noted in his analysis, remote device management has become a baseline requirement as signage networks become more business-critical and customers look for greater visibility, uptime and operational control.
