ISE 2025: Five Highlights at the invidis Events

The best AI use cases for digital signage, leading manufacturers of e-paper displays at one table, and much more: these are the highlights of our invidis conferences at ISE in Barcelona.

We at Invidis are co-organizing two conferences at ISE this year: the Digital Signage Summit (DSS) and the Retail Track. Both events will be moderated by Florian Rotberg and Stefan Schieker. Our program highlights the topics that are shaping the digital signage industry now and in the future. This year, we are focusing on five key areas.

30% Discount with our Readers Code

The regular ticket price for the DSS conference on Wednesday, February 5, is 440 euros. Use our reader code BBVUAMNT to get a 30% discount on your ticket.

For the Retail Track on Thursday, February 6, the Day Pass, which grants access to all summits and tracks on that day, is also available for 440 euros. Use the code KJSXULEN to receive a 30% discount.

Tickets can be added to the shopping cart on the ISE website after the initial registration.

Our AI best practice: digital humans

During our search for companies using generative AI to create impactful digital signage use cases we came across Pantheon Lab, an AI start-up from Hong Kong. Pantheon utilizes avatars, which they call digital humans, at points of interest (POI) and points of sale (POS). Their avatars are featured in KFC restaurants in Taiwan and on public transport in Hong Kong and Singapore. At DSS, founder Ivan Lau will explain which roles these avatars are able to fulfil.

Agentic AI to overrun all organizations

The digital signage industry has long utilized Analytic AI. Then, over the past two years, the focus has shifted almost entirely to Generative AI. Now, the next wave is coming: Agentic AI—personal assistants capable of solving problems independently. In the DSS keynote, we will explore how tools like Agentforce from Salesforce and other AI agents are set to disrupt the digital signage industry.

E-Paper experiences its big break-through

The energy-saving technology has spread rapidly across the ISE show floor. Leading manufacturers such as Sharp/NEC, Samsung, and specialist supplier Visionect will be presenting unprecedented formats and applications this year. We bring all three together for our e-paper panel. We are bringing all three together for an exclusive e-paper panel. Ian French, CTO of E Ink, will join us from Taiwan to present the latest advancements in R&D.

Building the bridge to North America

ISE is turning more and more into a global event, with U.S. executives now making their way to Barcelona. This includes rarely-seen-in-Europe guests from companies like Poppulo and Spectrio, two of North America’s largest digital signage CMS providers. We have invited them to speak at our conferences to share insights into the trends and developments shaping the market across the Atlantic.

Managed signage as future business model

As market experts, consultants and editors, there’s one topic we’ve been especially concerned with: the shifting balance of power in the digital signage industry. In many projects, a growing portion of the budget is being allocated to software, while hardware margins continue to shrink. The real profit now lies in the SaaS model.

“Managing signage” – how the managed service model can be transferred to the digital signage industry – is the big topic for us in 2025. At DSS ISE, we’ll be exploring what integrator Diversified, SaaS provider SignageOS and the Samsung Global Office have to say on the subject.
