Here’s a nice example of simple, but visually interesting visualized data being done at Yorkdale, which is very arguably the ritziest shopping mall in Canada.
Cineplex Digital Media works with the Toronto mall and its parent company, Oxford Properties, on the digital screens around the various shopping centres aOxford has across the country. To show shoppers the time at Yorkdale, the creative is using an application with dynamic 3D objects that shows a cloud of fluttering butterflies getting themselves organized to show the time of day.
The spot runs as an interstitial in between mall messaging and booked ads on concourse screens and overhead banners in the mall.
