Tim Bleakley of Ocean Outdoor and Jawad Hassan of the Multiply Group have joined the WOO Board, while Martin Corke of Clear Channel/Bauer Media Outdoor is stepping down.
The World Out of Home Organization (WOO) has appointed two new board directors: Tim Bleakley, Chairman of Ocean Outdoor, and Jawad Hassan, Head of Media and Communications at the Multiply Group. At the same time, Martin Corke, Chief Marketing Officer of Clear Channel, is stepping down from the board.
Tim Bleakley served as CEO of Ocean Outdoor for 14 years before stepping into the role of Chairman for the European DooH company. In recent months, he’s been active presenting his MOCA initiative (“Make Outdoor Creative Again”) to encourage more creativity in out-of-home.
Jawad Hassan played a key role in integrating Media 247, Viola Communications, and Backlite Media into the Multiply Group. In 2021, he supported Multiply Group’s IPO on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX). He also contributed in setting up the NYC DooH network Firefly. His appointment marks the first time WOO has board representation from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
WOO President Tom Goddard says: “Jawad Hassan will fill the gap we have in the Middle East since Antonio Vincente of Pikasso departed, and Tim Bleakley the Chairman of Ocean is coming in to add his abundance of energy and ideas to the board, as we review our mission priorities going forward.” The Chairman thanks Martin Corke, especially for his support in the sustainability team. “We wish him all the best in his ongoing role under new owner, Bauer Media Outdoor.”
