Now that Panasonic has spun off its Visual Solutions business, the Panasonic Connect brand has also come to an end – at least for new projectors and displays. The new brand is called Mevix.
Panasonic becomes Mevix: In the future, there will be no new product releases for projectors, displays or DV LED screens under the Panasonic Connect brand. Instead, these visual solutions will be offered under a new sub-brand called Mevix, which stands for Media, Entertainment & Visual Transformation.
Leading up to the change in branding and corporate structure was the sale of Panasonic’s display and projector business to the financial investor Orix about a year ago. As part of that sale, the division was set to become an independent company – Panasonic Projector & Display Corporation – by April 2025. Mevix will operate as a sub-brand of this new company and continue Panasonic Connect’s legacy in visual solutions.

Panasonic has confirmed that Mevix products will remain fully compatible with existing Panasonic Connect AV systems. However, Mevix will no longer have a pure product focus, but wants to offer complete AV ecosystems instead. This entails a new focus on software and services, as well as integration with third-party systems through cloud and API structures. As part of this new software offering, Panasonic has announced new tools to support design and maintenance workflows.
Jan Markus Jahn becomes Managing Director
Panasonic Projector & Display EMEA will officially begin operations on October 1, 2025, led by Jan Markus Jahn, who already headed the Media and Entertainment division for some time. The new company will focus heavily on expanding in the Middle East and Africa, where it sees the biggest potential for immersive experiences – one of the vertical where the projector market is experiencing, in contrast to the declining corporate segment.
“We launched Mevix alongside Panasonic to highlight our strong focus on visual solutions,” said Jan Markus Jahn. “With Mevix, we offer customers a single platform with all the tools, resources, and cutting-edge technologies they need to create transformative experiences – while reinforcing Panasonic’s position as a market leader in the fast-evolving AV industry.”
