DSS Europe 2025: Meet the invidis Strategy Award Winners

Last night at DSS Europe in Munich, invidis revealed the 2025 Strategy Award winners – eight standout companies transforming the digital signage industry in their own unique ways.

The invidis Strategy Awards celebrate true thought leaders in the digital signage industry – companies that dare to think differently, tackle real-world challenges with innovative solutions, and deliver exceptional projects.

Each shortlisted company, including the winners, was carefully selected by the invidis team based on continuous market analysis and in-depth industry coverage throughout the year.

From a shortlist of 24 companies, here are the 8 winners:

Green Signage Winner: Brightsign

Longer hardware warranties play a crucial role in the effort to reduce electronic waste in the digital signage industry.

Brightsign is the first to offer an extended standard warranty for its devices. Instead of the usual three years, Brightsign provides a five-year warranty for all media players purchased from the beginning of 2025 – and thus, supports integrators and end-users in achieving a more sustainable lifecycle for digital signage devices.

With the invidis Strategy Award for Green Signage, we recognize Brightsign’s leadership in eco-conscious hardware design and lifecycle management.

Digital-out-of-Home Winner: Framen

When it comes to rethinking established business models in Digital-out-of-Home, there is one company who is leading the way in Europe – and is expanding its unique approach to the US.

Shared Spaces & Engaging Experiences Winner: Instronic

Digital elements are often an afterthought in interior design concepts. The concept of “Shared Spaces” describes an approach where digital components are seamlessly integrated to merge architecture with cutting-edge content, lighting, and interaction.

One of the top studios in Europe for multidisciplinary media architecture is Barcelona-based Instronic. The company’s diverse team comprises engineers, architects, designers, software developers, and project managers. Together, they develop stunning, technology-driven experiences that inspire and amaze.

This recognition highlights Instronic’s pioneering approach to transforming spaces into immersive, interactive experiences that captivate audiences worldwide.

Innovation Winner: Nexmosphere

Many market players are focused on flashy displays and large LEDs, but the industry also needs “behind the scenes” innovators.

Nexmosphere is a company that has pioneered the integration of sensors in digital signage applications. They have developed more than 25 different sensor solutions for interactive installations, bridging the gap between screens and their surrounding environments.

Beyond sensors, Nexmosphere continues to push industry boundaries with sustainability initiatives. Nexmosphere Neo, a power management solution, actively measures and controls all components within a digital signage installation.

The invidis Strategy Award for Innovation underscores Nexmosphere’s role as a visionary technology provider within the digital signage ecosystem.

Business-Critical Excellence Winner: Sharp

Reducing reliance on Chinese LED technology has proven pivotal in business-critical and security-sensitive projects – particularly in transportation hubs, government, military, and enterprise projects.

Sharp’s “Made in Europe” solutions position the company as a preferred partner for enterprises seeking secure and regulation-compliant display technology.  Operating with a dedicated European LED team, Sharp deeply understands the unique needs of Western enterprise customers, manufacturing custom-designed LED displays tailored to complex environments.

We recognize Sharp for its ability to successfully navigate geopolitical complexities, deliver high-security solutions, and pioneer sustainable technology in the display industry.

Software & Platforms Winner: SignageOS

Typical digital signage networks are a wild mix of technology, missing standard tools and services for a centralized management.

Prague-based SignageOS develops software solutions that enable businesses to manage any device, build tailored solutions, and seamlessly operate mission-critical digital signage networks – all within a single platform. With more than 100,000 connected devices, SignageOS has emerged as the go-to provider for navigating the complexities of multi-device signage deployments.

The invidis Strategy Award for Software & Platforms reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation, scalability, and industry transformation.

Industry Leadership Winner: Vertiseit

With a crystal-clear focus on Software-as-a-Service, Vertiseit stands apart as a rare public company delivering transparency in an industry that is dominated by private companies.

Vertiseit’s ambitious vision for achieving one billion Swedish Kronor in SaaS revenue until 2031 signals not only its confidence but also its leadership in shaping the digital signage market globally.

This remarkable journey has been built upon strategic acquisitions of over a dozen Nordic and European digital signage companies, creating a unified powerhouse in the sector.

Winning the invidis Strategy Award highlights Vertiseit’s influence, foresight, and industry leadership – qualities that will undoubtedly continue to shape the future of marketing technology.

Rising Star Winner: Wildstone Capital

Converting static billboards into large Digital-out-of-Home screens requires substantial investment, which often poses a challenge for media companies.

Through investing in existing static inventory, Wildstone has enabled an industry-wide digital transformation without burdening media operators with the infrastructure costs. Over the past four years, the company has digitized more than 1,000 billboards, enabling Out-of-Home operators to focus on core tasks like ad sales and creative content development.

Winning the Rising Star Award reflects Wildstone’s strategic vision and commitment to driving digital transformation in outdoor media.
