Toni Viñals from Nsign.tv takes a look back and describes the company’s milestones in his Year in Review – including a preview of the new year.
2024 was an important year for nsign.tv, full of progress and milestones. A key focus this year was our new approach, “Simplify Complexity.” This philosophy is at the heart of everything the company does, aiming to make digital signage management easier for businesses, no matter how large or complex their operations. The platform’s flexibility allows clients to integrate their existing systems seamlessly, avoiding unnecessary costs or disruptions. Its ability to automate and personalize content at scale helps businesses save time and focus on what really matters: engaging with their audiences and improving their operations.
2024 also marked a period of growth for the nsign.tv team, with several key additions and the creation of new divisions aimed at strengthening the company’s focus on our clients and technology. A Customer Success department was established to ensure that customers gain maximum value from the platform, reflecting Nsign.tv’s commitment to putting clients at the center of our business strategy. The Technology department also expanded with new team members, including specialists in artificial intelligence, to drive innovation and enhance the platform’s capabilities. Additionally, we introduced the role of Product & Innovation Director, tasked with leading technological advancements and ensuring the platform remains at the cutting edge of the industry.
A major highlight this year has been the success of our Applets, which are transforming how businesses approach content management. Applets are an integral part of our CMS platform, offering flexibility and scalability. These powerful micro-applications automate and personalize digital signage using real-time data integration. They connect seamlessly with external systems like ERP, CRM, and POS platforms, ensuring that content is always updated in real time. Whether it’s displaying live news feeds, local weather, or social media streams, or managing dynamic pricing for promotions, these tools make managing extensive screen networks effortless and efficient. In 2024, Applets have set a new standard for innovation in digital signage, earning recognition by being shortlisted in two international award programs. The positive feedback from our clients further reinforces their value as a transformative tool for businesses worldwide.
We also expanded our presence in the United States, increasing activity in the region and participating in Digital Signage Experience 2024. This underscores our commitment to international growth and building stronger connections with clients in one of the world’s most dynamic markets.
2024 concluded on a fantastic note for our company, as we were honored to be nominated as “Outstanding Company” in an international digital signage industry awards program. This recognition consolidates our position as a global leader in the digital signage market and reflects the dedication and innovation that drive our entire team.
Key industry developments
One major trend we’ve observed is the increasing use of data-driven technologies to create more personalized experiences. Companies are combining big data and AI to deliver hyper-targeted content and recommendations, which not only enhance customer engagement but also drive higher conversion rates and revenue. Another significant shift is the focus on operational efficiency through self-service kiosks and queue management systems. These solutions streamline customer flow, cut costs, and improve overall performance in retail and service environments. We’ve also seen advancements in accessibility, with digital signage and kiosks being designed to cater to a wider range of users, ensuring inclusivity and convenience.
Interactive displays and immersive experiences are also on the rise, offering localized product information and promotions or creating unique visual environments that capture attention and encourage customer interaction. Finally, programmatic LED screens and IoT-enabled systems are making it possible to adjust content dynamically based on real-time data, ensuring messages are always relevant and impactful.
2025 and beyond
Looking ahead to 2025, we expect these trends to evolve further, with technology becoming even more intelligent and seamless. AI-powered kiosks and displays will likely play a bigger role in predicting customer preferences and providing real-time recommendations, transforming how businesses interact with their audiences. The integration of IoT in queue management and digital signage systems will also advance, helping businesses monitor customer flow and optimize operations with greater precision.
We anticipate more focus on sustainability and energy-efficient solutions, particularly in LED and projection technologies. Additionally, immersive experiences like interactive floors and projections will likely gain traction, offering businesses new ways to attract and engage customers. Digital signage is poised to become an even more essential tool for creating meaningful, efficient, and accessible customer experiences.
