Year in Review: Julia Vogl | Grassfish

Julia Vogl describes the three key concepts that shaped the past year for Grassfish and gives an outlook for 2025 in her Year in Review.

As we reflect on 2024, it’s clear that Grassfish has experienced a year of growth, transformation, and resilience. With a solid foundation and a steady commitment to customer success, we navigated both challenges and milestones to strengthen Grassfish’s offering, the trusted and reliable IXM Platform, and the expertise of our skilled and dedicated team.

Growth

Grassfish achieved remarkable milestones in 2024, driven by our strong relationships, which we cherish within the Grassfish ecosystem. As the platform company we develop the technology, but more importantly, we develop partnerships and communities that help our customers create unforgettable experiences. Celebrating our ecosystem, we invited to our Grassfish Summit. This year’s event was our largest yet, featuring customer and partner presentations besides offering workshops on AI, design thinking, and our ever-evolving IXM Platform.

One specific highlight this year includes the collaboration with Advertima, DXTA, and Hypermedia in Dubai, showcasing the demand for Retail Media and DOOH solutions, featuring incredible installations. 2024 also marked the successful project starts with Henkel and Co-op, reinforcing our reputation for handling complex, high-profile implementations. Furthermore, we are powering SAP Garden, Munich’s newest multipurpose sports arena. The venue required complex demands of both, a high-performance digital signage platform and live IPTV broadcasting. Our IXM Platform can seamlessly combine these functionalities and is therefore built to enable the engaging and dynamic experiences for their visitors.

Transformation

One of the most significant changes this year was the transition in leadership. In September, our former CEO stepped down, and we welcomed Anders Henricson as our new CEO to the team. This change brought fresh perspectives and renewed energy to our mission of empowering brands to create exceptional experiences. Despite this shift, Grassfish’s foundation, which is built on a culture of adaptability and collaboration, remains strong, enabling us to continue driving value for our customers and partners side-by-side.

Resilience

Even though the last year presented a challenging economic climate, with some industries experiencing slower growth, Grassfish’s focus remained constant, and our efforts have been integral to Vertiseit’s achievement of its long-term ARR goal. We see the continuous change Grassfish was facing as the driver behind our growth, showing that with our strong foundation, we are able to adapt to trends, market demands, and customer needs, all while aligning with the group’s strategic direction. We show resilience through our ability to readjust, evolve, and continue delivering value with the talented people on our team who are central to our success and achievements.

Looking ahead

As we move into 2025, our focus remains on powering exceptional customer experiences through our IXM Platform. We aim to strengthen our role as both a backbone and disruptor in the market, adapting to trends and challenges while staying true to our core values and the relationships we have with our customers and partners. We will remain dedicated to evolving our software, as it is our goal to build the world’s leading IXM Platform. We see our IXM Platform as the driving force, powerhouse, and enabler behind all digital experiences in physical environments. Moreover, we will continue to strengthen our teams, which drive innovative projects and bring success and value to the Grassfish ecosystem.
