Sebastian Kryh, CEO of Dise, describes in his Year in Review how Retail Media has developed and what expansion opportunities the North American market offers.
As we close the chapter on 2024, I am both proud and optimistic about the journey Dise has embarked on. This year marked a period of significant growth, innovation, and strategic expansion, all while staying true to our core mission: to be “partner-first and partner-only.” Our focus has been on empowering our partners to succeed, enhancing their value propositions, and helping them win more business in a rapidly evolving market.
One of the highlights of this year has been our growth in SaaS revenue, a testament to the strength of our offerings and the trust of our partners. A strategic focus for 2024 has been deepening our relationships with existing partners while laying the groundwork for new collaborations, particularly in the North American market. The digital signage industry in North America continues to expand at a remarkable pace, and Dise has positioned itself to meet this growing demand.
Expansion into the USA
Our increased footprint in the U.S. is a major milestone. By the second half of 2024, we achieved significant growth in the region, paving the way for our first U.S. office in Atlanta, Georgia during 2025. This strategic move allows us to better serve both our existing and new partners, ensuring we remain agile and responsive to their needs as the market continues to evolve.
Technological advancements have also been at the forefront of our efforts this year. Dise expanded support to include more platforms like Sony, Philips, and ChromeOS, staying true to our hardware-agnostic approach. This ensures that our partners have the flexibility to deliver customized solutions to their customers while keeping operational efficiency and sustainability in mind.
Premiere of Dise One
A standout achievement in 2024 was the launch of Dise One during ISE 2024. This powerful new playout engine is designed to simplify digital signage installations with the same code base for all supported platforms, cementing the Dise ‘one product -one price’ approach . This also reduces energy consumption with built-in support for multiple platforms, including SoC. Dise One has been embraced by the market for its scalability and seamless integration capabilities. It represents a bold step forward in making digital signage installations more efficient and environmentally friendly.
Dynamic Retail Media
Retail media has continued to gain momentum, becoming an integral part of many in-store projects. With our Adconnect module, Dise empowers retailers to seamlessly integrate advertising with native content. The maturity of retail media strategies has been particularly noteworthy, as retailers increasingly focus on maximizing returns by aligning advertising efforts with in-store brand relationships and customer needs.
Throughout the year, we’ve been proud to engage with the industry through our membership in AVIXA and the Digital Signage Federation (DSF). Our participation in events such as InfoComm and ISE has underscored our commitment to sharing knowledge and supporting retailers in unlocking their full potential. We look forward to continuing this work in collaboration with DSF and other industry leaders in the coming year.
As I reflect on 2024, I’m filled with gratitude for the trust and support of our partners. Together, we have built a strong foundation for continued growth and innovation. Looking ahead to 2025, we remain committed to driving success through collaboration, technology, and an unwavering focus on delivering value to our partners. Here’s to a year of exciting opportunities and continued progress.
