With its new Signage Stick, Amazon launches a mini media player for basic digital signage applications. It comes with pre-installed CMS solutions, such as Nowsignage or Novisign.
Amazon has launched the digital signage counterpart to its popular Fire TV stick under the simple label “Signage Stick”. This new mini media player comes with a pre-installed content management systems (CMS), offering users a range of software options from Amazon’s partners. These include Novisign, Nowsignage, Screencloud, and Yodeck. However, users will need to purchase a separate license for the CMS they choose. The Signage Stick is priced at approximately $100 USD.
The signage stick is not only visually identical to the Fire TV stick, but also mimics its user experience. To set it up, users simply connect the device to a display, establish a Wi-Fi connection, and enter the provided pairing code. Once completed, the CMS automatically launches in kiosk mode. Configuration can also be managed through a mobile device. For larger setups, a separate signage stick is of course needed for each display.

The device is powered by a quad-core SoC and supports 4K video streaming. It also comes with Wi-Fi 6E connectivity. In the product marketing, Amazon places an emphasis on security, saying the stick is equipped with features like a secure bootloader, data encryption, and regular software updates to ensure safe and stable operation. Included in the package are an HDMI extender, an Amazon remote control, a power adapter, and a power cable.
With its competitive pricing and relatively easy set-up, the Amazon Signage Stick is positioned as a tool that simplifies professional digital signage and is aimed towards small and medium businesses.
