IT Security: Uniguest Achieves SOC 2 Type 1 Certification

Uniguest’s Hub platform earns SOC 2 Type 1 certification, reinforcing security and compliance for enterprise AV and digital engagement deployments.

Uniguest has obtained SOC 2 Type 1 certification for its Hub Digital Engagement Platform and Hub Enterprise Cloud AV solution (Tripleplay Cloud), marking a step forward in its enterprise security credentials.

SOC 2 (System and Organization Controls), developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), is an auditing standard focused on data security. Type 1 certification indicates that Uniguest’s systems and controls meet defined criteria for security, availability, and confidentiality at a specific point in time.

The certification comes as organizations increasingly deploy digital signage, IPTV, and other engagement platforms across corporate networks, where security and compliance are critical considerations. It provides assurance that Uniguest’s Hub solutions are supported by measures such as access controls, encryption, and continuous system monitoring.

James Keen, EVP Marketing at Uniguest, said security is a baseline requirement for enterprise AV. “Achieving SOC 2 Type 1 confirms that the foundations of our platforms are built to meet those expectations,” he noted, adding that cloud-based deployments require confidence in the protection of data and systems.

SOC 2 Type 1 evaluates the design of security controls. Uniguest is now progressing toward SOC 2 Type 2 certification, which will assess the ongoing effectiveness of these controls over time.
