DooH: JC Decaux to Design DooH Network at Sydney’s New 24/7 Airport
JC Decaux has secured the advertising concession for Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) following a competitive tender process. The long-term agreement covers the development and operation of a digital out-of-home network at the new airport, which is scheduled to open in October 2026.
WSI is one of Australia’s largest infrastructure projects and is intended to serve the rapidly growing Western Sydney region. The terminal has been designed by a consortium of architects including Zaha Hadid Architects, COX Architecture, and Woods Bagot. Initial capacity is planned at around 10 million passengers annually, with future expansion foreseen as demand increases. Early airline commitments include services from Qantas/Jetstar, Singapore Airlines, and Air New Zealand.
Under the contract, JC Decaux will roll out a network of DooH assets across both indoor and outdoor areas of the airport precinct. The company will also collaborate with airport stakeholders and commercial partners ahead of launch to prepare the media offering.
“This new long-term contract enables JCDecaux to design a premium digital airport media network from the ground up, creating exceptional opportunities for brands to connect with domestic and international travellers as the airport scales,” says Jean-François Decaux, Co-CEO of JC Decaux.
The airport will operate 24 hours a day, positioning it as an additional hub within the Sydney aviation market.
