“The more complex the project, the better a fit Diversified is,” says Will Hegan, EMEA Managing Director. As managed services grow across Europe, the U.S. AV giant is strengthening its local presence to attack large-scale, complex enterprise rollouts.

Managed Services: Diversified Bets on Germany and Europe
While managed AV services are taking off across Europe, Germany remains cautious. Diversified aims to change that with local offices, global expertise, and large-scale digital signage solutions that turn complexity into a competitive edge.
The European market is increasingly warming to managed AV services – but many regions, Germany in particular, is still lagging behind. The concept of providing complete AV equipment or digital signage networks for a monthly fee that includes full service remains relatively uncommon, particularly outside conference room environments.
Managed services are becoming more attractive
Yet, allowing companies to keep hardware investments – whether for offices or retail stores – off their balance sheets can make digital upgrades far more attractive. This is where global integration houses like AVI-SPL, Econocom, and Diversified hold an edge over smaller, more specialized players.
Managed services have their roots in the IT and AV worlds, environments in which these major tech providers have long established themselves. Extending this approach to digital signage is a natural progression, given that digital signage has become an integral part of virtually every commercial environment. As Will Hegan, Managing Director EMEA at Diversified, puts it: “Signage has become part of the furniture.”
Dedicated unit for digital experiences at scale
Diversified, a dominant player in the U.S. market, has seen growing demand from global enterprises for not only experiential but consistent digital signage concepts. This led to the launch of a dedicated digital signage practice, Diversified Digital.
Even large-scale rollouts, however, require local presence and expertise. That’s why Diversified is doubling down on its localized strategy. In 2025, the company opened an office in Germany, appointing Johannes Stehr, former AVI-SPL General Manager, to lead operations. “You need local representation to succeed in the market,” Hegan emphasizes.
Diversified’s European expansion began in 2018 with the acquisition of UK-based Digitavia. Since then, the company has served the EMEA market from London and later from Amsterdam.
Global ambitions: Germany and India as new local hubs
Today, EMEA is Diversified’s fastest-growing region, posting nearly 20% growth, driven largely by the corporate and enterprise segments. Large, complex enterprise projects are where Diversified excels. “The more complex the project gets, the better a fit Diversified is,” Hegan says. The company’s broad skill set – including IT and networking expertise – helps in that regard.
In 2025, Diversified laid the groundwork for its global initiatives not only by opening a German office but also by establishing a presence in India. The next challenge: demonstrating to clients that they can deliver specialized, complex digital signage solutions – at scale.
