The AV division of distributor Exertis closed its doors on March 1. The move is unrelated to the ongoing rebranding of the Nexora group: in Germany, the former Exertis business has been operating under its previous brand name, Comm-Tec, since the start of the year.

Distribution: Exertis AV UK Closes Operations
Following a previously announced wave of redundancies – with British trade media reporting that around 40 percent of the workforce was affected – UK distributor Exertis has now closed its AV business as of March 1. The news was reported, among others, by AV Magazine.
Last year, Exertis UK, together with the Irish distribution business, was acquired by financial investor Aurelius.
In other countries, the Exertis AV brand had already disappeared, though only as part of rebranding under the parent company. The group was renamed from DCC Technology to Nexora. In some markets, such as Germany, the distributor now operates under its former brand Comm-Tec. The company from Uhingen presented itself under this name at ISE 2026. The move is intended, among other things, to place greater emphasis once again on local expertise.
