2,000 Displays: Eat Happy Continues Digital Menu Board Rollout

With Connectsignage software, the Asian food brand Eat Happy has already digitized more than 1,800 locations – and 20 more are set to go live every month. Automated commissioning and content delivery make it all possible.

The sushi maker Eat Happy operates around 1,800 shop-in-shops in supermarkets across Germany – including Edeka, Hit, Kaufland, and Rewe – with additional locations throughout Europe. With so many stores, one big challenge is ensuring that digital signage displays show only the content the dishes avaible at that location – from menus to daily specials.

Location-specific content

Since mid-2025, Eat Happy has been using Connectsignage software to manage the digital signage displays. Instead of configuring each screen one by one, the system uses location profiles. Each store automatically gets the right content based on its region, retail partner, and available menu items.

By June last year, Connectsignage had migrated 1,100 existing displays to the platform and rolled out another 900 new screens. And the expansion continues: Johann Bendel, CEO of Connectsignage, says 20 new stores will be added every month in the coming years.

Plug-and-play deployment

For a rollout of this scale, new stores have to be integrated in a standardized way, as Conntectsignage does via automatic software rollout. New displays only need to be mounted and connected to power and network on site. Using the registered serial number, Connectsignage automatically identifies the device, assigns it to the correct location, and plays the appropriate content – eliminating manual configuration or local IT intervention. In addition, Eat Happy can manage all locations centrally through the CMS.

The on-site setup and technical implementation are handled together by Connectsignage and Solid Concept, the system integrator.
