Outsourcing the Composer: DS Templates Launches Native Platform Integration

Software start-up DS Templates enables CMS vendors to outsource design intelligence: its digital signage–specific creation suite, comprising around 600 templates, can now be natively integrated into third-party platforms.

Netherlands-based DS Templates has announced a new Native Integration Service designed to embed its full content-creation environment directly into third-party CMS platforms. The first company to implement the integration will be the smart workplace firm Go Bright, which plans to roll out the capability in its View digital signage platform in the first quarter of 2026.

Most CMS platforms share similar core functionalities, including distribution, scheduling, triggers, and analytics. Where they differ significantly is in content production. Some offer advanced composer tools for experienced users, while others rely on basic template systems. In both cases, maintaining and updating these features – particularly as AI-supported creation becomes the norm – demands substantial development resources.

DS Templates focuses exclusively on the content-production layer of a CMS. Its platform aims to simplify digital signage content creation for all users, offering more than 600 ready-to-use templates and 40 integrations. With the new Native Integration Service, CMS vendors can expand their content-creation capabilities without building and maintaining these tools themselves.

The service enables CMS providers to integrate the full DS Templates ecosystem via API. According to the company, this includes access to its template library, integrations, design environment, and automation tools – all embedded within the provider’s existing user interface.

Go Bright as launch partner

Go Bright will be the first company to implement the Native API. Beginning in Q1 2026, its View digital signage platform will offer native access to DS Templates’ template library and associated tools.

Go Bright delivers smart workplace solutions that include room booking, desk booking, visitor management, wayfinding and workplace analytics. Digital signage is part of that broader ecosystem, supporting functions such as wayfinding, internal communications, meeting room displays and real-time data visualization.

Chris Wiegeraad, Chief Commercial Officer at Go Bright, said: “By integrating DS Templates natively, Go Bright strengthens its digital signage offering and makes it easier for customers to create high-quality content that matches their brand.”

The integration plays into the ongoing shift towards more modular CMS platforms that concentrate on core content-management functions while enabling customization through API integrations – whether via proprietary modules or third-party applications.

The first implementation through Go Bright’s View platform is scheduled for early 2026.
