M&A: Cenareo Acquires French CMS Dedicast

Cenareo continues its consolidation push in France with the acquisition of Neotess, adding 7,500 Dedicast CMS players and expanding its installed base to more than 30,000. By integrating Neotess’ on‑premise industrial expertise with its own cloud‑native platform, Cenareo strengthens its position across retail, corporate, and now high‑value manufacturing markets.

Cenareo continues its role as France’s most active digital signage consolidator with the acquisition of Neotess and it’s CMS platform Dedicast, adding 7,500 active players to its platform and bringing the combined installed base to more than 30,000. Backed by private equity, the Toulouse‑based ISV has been steadily expanding its footprint: following the Easymovie acquisition two years ago Cenareo announced its next transaction.

Cenareo is accelerating its strategy to strengthen its position in the French digital media landscape. With Neotess’ technology – the engine behind the Dedicast CMS – Cenareo gains access to new verticals in enterprise and manufacturing, where digital signage requirements differ significantly from cloud‑first retail and corporate deployments. Unlike Cenareo’s cloud‑only approach, Neotess/Dedicast has long specialized in on‑premise solutions engineered for critical industrial environments with strict sovereignty demands.

For many outside France, Neotess represents a classic hidden national champion: deeply embedded in industrial workflows where on‑premise remains the preferred architecture, particularly for mid‑sized manufacturers.

According to Cenareo CEO David Keribin, the strategic rationale for the deal lies in combining the stability, field expertise, and industrial heritage of Saint‑Étienne‑based Neotess with Cenareo’s cloud‑native technology and agency services spanning France, Tunisia and the US.

Neotess’ teams will remain in Saint‑Étienne to ensure continuity, strong regional presence, and high‑touch service – forming the backbone of Cenareo’s new “Industry” vertical.

Moving beyond its pure SaaS roots, Cenareo is now integrating on‑premise capabilities to access high‑value industrial markets, reshaping its business model while staying focused on delivering media value..

One company – two platforms

There will be no abrupt consolidation of the software stacks; instead, both platforms will evolve in parallel revolving around content, distribution, and data. Neotess becomes “the industrial broadcasting solution by Cenareo,” dedicated to critical content and industrial environments, while Cenareo retains its identity as a cloud‑native, scalable solution for retail, corporate communication, and DooH.
