When Passeig de Gràcia - Barcelona’s luxury shopping boulevard - closes to traffic, one thing is certain: it’s ISE time again. Since the world largest ProAV show moved from Amsterdam to Barcelona, ISE has partnered with Casa Batlló to stage an annual projection mapping event on Gaudí’s masterpiece facade, bringing ProAV innovation into the heart of the city.

Casa Batlló: Projection Mapping Marks the Start of ISE Week
For locals, major trade fairs like ISE may bring congestion, but they also inject nearly half a billion euros into the regional economy. Yet most residents never step inside the Fira Gran Via halls. The free projection event the weekend before ISE bridges that gap, drawing tens of thousands of Barcelonians eager to experience digital artistry at architectural scale.

On Saturday evening, crowds once again filled Passeig de Gràcia as this year’s invited artists – United Visual Artists (UVA) – unveiled Hidden Order, a new façade mapping piece created specifically for Casa Batlló. The time‑based audiovisual work approaches Gaudí’s building as both a subject and an instrument, deconstructing the iconic façade into geometric building blocks inspired by the architect’s relationship with nature and recomposing them through light, motion, and sound.
The Gaudí Year 2026
In 2026, Barcelona will take on the role of World Capital of Architecture and host a wide range of exhibitions, conferences, and events – including those dedicated to the Gaudí Year, marking the 100th anniversary of his death. Antoni Gaudí’s architecture continues to captivate generations of architects and enthusiasts alike, celebrated for its formal richness, symbolic depth, and pioneering technical innovation.
Choreography plays a central role: human movement becomes a compositional force as the piece shifts between figuration and abstraction, blending the organic with the architectural. Real‑world constraints – the curvature, depth, and texture of the façade – shape not only the visual language but the technical design, resulting in a stunning dialogue between technology, art, and one of Barcelona’s most celebrated cultural landmarks.
The 12min show is back today (Sunday) at 19:45, 20:15, 20:45, 21:15, 21:45, 22:15, 22:45
