M-Cube: Textile Projections Light Up Soho House Dinner

Soho House and M-Cube closed Design Week Dubai with a projection-driven dinner, turning textile drapes into dynamic, light-filled surfaces.

M-Cube assisted Soho House in closing out Design Week Dubai: The exclusive members club hosted a closing dinner at Sima Collective, bringing together designers, artists, and cultural figures for an evening that combined dining with an immersive spatial experience.

Design Week Dubai, known for highlighting contemporary design, provided the backdrop for the dinner. The event was crafted to be both visually engaging and cohesive, reflecting Soho House’s aesthetic values.

Sima Collective, the venue for the dinner, houses nine artist studios and supports emerging and mid-career talent across the UAE and the region. Its program of exhibitions, workshops, and open-studio events informed the design approach, creating an environment that emphasized local creative practices.

M-Cube developed a projection-based installation for the event, using high-quality projectors to illuminate textile drapes from precise angles. This technique transformed the drapes into dynamic surfaces shaped by light and movement, balancing visual sophistication with the intimate nature of the dinner.

The collaboration provided a curated conclusion to Design Week Dubai, blending immersive design elements with the city’s contemporary cultural scene.
