Year in Review 2025/2026: Michael Möller | Peerless-AV

In his Year in Review, Michael Möller, Senior Sales Manager Germany at Peerless-AV, explains why this year's challenges could lead to a much more optimistic 2026.

2025 was a momentary year for many reasons – not all positive – but the challenges make us stronger and our industry continues to adapt. As we move into 2026, the ProAV market outlook is increasingly optimistic. There’s a clear shift in attitudes from resellers and integrators, with more strategic decision-making and a noticeable release of funding as businesses align on roadmaps into 2027.

Next year, protecting and strengthening our customer, partner and channel relationships will be even more important than ever. Some companies have found the global situation harder than others to navigate. We expect further structural movement – including acquisitions, new partnerships and consolidation – largely driven by big global accounts. There will also be fierce manufacturer competition, but this has always been the case. New entrants are emerging and driving down prices. However, quality, engineering and brand trust will continue to differentiate those who truly invest in collaboration. Those manufacturers that provide honest, technical support – that goes above and beyond – from the start of a project to the very end, will set the pace.

Product roadmap planned

Having the right products and market strategy is vital as we enter 2026. Many end customers have been holding budgets and projects have been on hold during periods of uncertainty, but we are now seeing renewed confidence and readiness to adopt new technology. This aligns with a significant wave of innovation – particularly from hardware and software vendors planning launches at ISE and beyond.

From the LED landscape especially, will see exciting new developments. Pixel pitches are shrinking, and what would have been too expensive for many not long ago, such as 0.6 millimeters, has now become a realistic option for customers looking for full HD performance at 55”-sized canvases. In the next 12 months, LED will push deeper into workplace and education environments, supported by a rise in more pre-configured ‘LED furniture’ solutions – integrated walls that combine mounting, cabinetry, power, and VC hardware – making LED far more accessible to organisations without specialist infrastructure or server rooms.

For situations where supporting substructures are necessary – where there may be no load bearing wall to mount to – there are now possibilities for LED to open doors in new markets. Mobile trolley substructure solutions, for example, provide flexible, large-scale mounting of displays up to 3 meters – creating ideal flexibility for corporate spaces, classrooms, showrooms and event environments without the complexity normally tied to traditional video walls.

Year of opportunities

In addition to LED, we are ready to embrace opportunities in 2026 for our comprehensive product lineup, including outdoor displays with the widest temperature range – a must for hospitality venues around the 2026 Fifa World Cup – plus versatile outdoor and indoor kiosks, and a quick-install, mobile trolley lineup. We also have exciting product launches coming in the New Year, including a complete mounting ecosystem that addresses diverse collaborative workspace needs.

In summary, I’m going into 2026 with enthusiasm. We have a great team here at Peerless-AV and the biggest AV event of the year to kick things off. Then, in Germany, we have a packed event calendar, with trainings, workshops and regional roadshows. The focus is firmly back on in-person collaboration, technical education and shared momentum. We thank our customers and partners for their ongoing trust and support. Here’s to progress, partnership and the next upward curve of the AV industry.
