For the 2025 holiday season, international brands embraced bold large-format Out-of-Home, turning building facades, striking LED screens, and innovative connected formats into festive showcases.

Best Of: Stand-out Holiday DooH Campaigns of 2025
During the Christmas season of 2025, multiple locations across Europe and the United States came alive with large-format OoH installations – both digital and static. From entire building facades to digital billboards and special formats, brands pulled out all the stops. Here are some of our favorites.
PIE-MAX at BFI IMAX, London
In London, Waitrose transformed the facade of the BFI IMAX building into a temporary branded experience. The 1,734-square-meter surface was reimagined as “PIE-MAX” for two weeks, showcasing a giant handmade turkey pie alongside text excerpts from the Christmas film The Perfect Gift. Additional large-format DooH campaigns ran in Southampton, Nottingham, and Birmingham.

The project was executed with media planning by MG OMD and Talon, creative design by Wonderhood Studios, and support by Ocean Outdoor, according to Creative Salon. The team also created CGI extensions for social media, digitally enhancing the building facade motif.
Burberry Facade at Bloomingdale’s, New York
In New York, Burberry partnered with Bloomingdale’s to create a striking facade installation at the department store on 59th Street. The illuminated building featured a graphic pattern inspired by the iconic Burberry check, complemented by window displays and a large-scale illuminated scarf structure. The installation is set to remain on display until January 5, 2026.

Forced Perspective Campaign in the Netherlands
Nespresso launched a holiday campaign in the Netherlands centered on a single motif from its Winter Limited Edition. First Impression’s Creative Studio developed forced-perspective content tailored for twelve different screen formats. The campaign rolled out across eight cities and around 90 locations, comprising more than 250 dynamic assets delivered via programmatic advertising.
Animated Escalator Screens in the London Underground
Travel operator Tui brought animated content to networked escalator screens across the London Underground (click for video). At Kings Cross, Oxford Circus, and Waterloo stations, ten-second 3D animated sequences ran on the so-called digital ribbons. Characters from the TV commercial moved sequentially across multiple screens along a virtual luggage conveyor belt. Production and animation were handled by POD LDN in collaboration with Global. The campaign ran from December 5 to 18, 2025.
