M&A: MVC Videra Acquires Vistafon

MVC Videra continues its European expansion with the acquisition of German ProAV and UC integrator Vistafon. The move strengthens its regional presence in Germany and enhances its capabilities in media technology and customer engagement.Following its merger with Elisa Videra, MVC Videra is positioning itself as a pan-European managed service provider ready to compete with global AV and UCC giants.

In a strategic move that underscores the accelerating consolidation in the ProAV and Unified Communications & Collaboration (UCC) sectors, MVC Videra has announced the acquisition of Vistafon Group, a Munich-based media technology and UC integrator. The transaction, retroactively effective from November 1st, marks MVC Videra’s second major transaction following its merger with Scandinavian UCC specialist Videra in 2023.

The acquisition includes Vistafon GmbH and Vistafon Consulting GmbH, expanding MVC Videra’s operational footprint and reinforcing its presence in Southern and Central Germany, particularly in the Munich and Rhine-Main regions.

Strengthening Regional Expertise

With Vistafon’s integration, MVC Videra gains access to a well-established customer base, experienced project teams, and a network of showrooms across major German cities. These showrooms will continue to serve as key venues for client engagement and technology demonstrations.

The move enhances MVC Videra’s capabilities in sales, project management, and media technology, aligning with its broader strategy to become a pan-European leader in UCC and AV integration.

A Growing European Footprint

The acquisition builds on the momentum from MVC’s 2023 merger with Elisa Videra, a Finnish UCC provider. Post-merger, KLP Vermögensverwaltungs-GmbH holds 62.5% of MVC Videra, while Elisa Group, a major Finnish telecom operator, owns 37.5%.

With operations now spanning Germany, Scandinavia, Finland, Spain, the UK, and the USA, MVC Videra is positioning itself as a contender among international Managed Service Providers (MSPs). The company aims to compete with global players like Econocom, Forte/GPA, AVI-SPL, and Yorktel (Kinly), who are increasingly displacing regional AV specialists.

Industry Implications

The acquisition of Vistafon reflects a broader trend: the decline of standalone regional integrators and the rise of internationally established MSPs capable of delivering scalable, cross-border solutions.
