While we were busy covering events in the industry, unfortunately we missed to cover the May 2025 acquisition of Raydiant assets by Displai Systems. Bay Area based Raydiant was up for sale, but obviously couldn’t find a buyer for the whole business.

M&A: Displai Systems Acquires Raydiant Assets
In May, Displai Systems Inc. announced its acquisition of assets from Bay Area-based Raydiant, adding products, technology, customer contracts, and key team members to its portfolio.
Once known for serving long-tail verticals and acquiring AI start-up Sightcorp from the University of Amsterdam in 2022, Raydiant found itself unable to attract a buyer for its entire business. The acquisition by Displai represents a practical outcome for a brand seeking continuity, while also giving the assets a new trajectory under fresh leadership.
Displai has pledged to maintain uninterrupted services for Raydiant customers, continuing active development of existing technologies. The company is investing in what it calls a “vibrant product roadmap,” signaling its intent to evolve the platform with sharper vertical focus and enhanced capabilities.
Strategic Pivot to Retail & Hospitality
Displai’s post-acquisition strategy seems to center around brick-and-mortar businesses in the restaurant and hospitality sectors. While Raydiant provided digital signage to various industries, Displai intends to focus on hospitality first.
