1.000 Restaurants: Creative Realities Wins Major QSR Deal

A big U.S. quick-service restaurant chain is starting a nationwide upgrade to digital menu boards, and has commissioned CRI to handle the job under a managed services contract. The rollout will begin later this year.

The Louisville-based digital signage integrator Creative Realities (CRI) has secured one of its largest contracts in the QSR sector. The company will install indoor and outdoor digital menu boards at over 1,000 restaurant locations across about 25 states. As usually with contracts involving big brands, the name of the chain was not disclosed.

End-to-End Digital Signage Solution

CRI will provide a full-service solution for this project. This includes supplying the hardware, developing a content strategy, offering consulting and installation support, and handling ongoing operations and maintenance. The project will use CRI’s proprietary CMS, Clarity, which is designed specifically for the food and beverage industry.

Upselling features for drive-ins

Clarity includes features such as integration with POS systems, geo-targeted promotions, and time-based segmentation. It is designed to be very user-friendly, allowing marketing teams to update content across hundreds of locations quickly and easily. For drive-in restaurants, Clarity also enables order confirmation and upselling tools to boost additional sales.

Besides Clarity, CRI offers three other CMS platforms tailored for different industries, such as retail and DooH.

“We’re honored to be chosen as the digital signage partner for such an important technological and operational transformation,” says Rick Mills, CEO of CRI. “This chain shares our values and our belief in the power of digital applications to elevate the guest experience. Together, we’re building a more agile, connected restaurant environment that meets today’s customer expectations while setting the stage for tomorrow.”

The full rollout of the digital menu boards will depend on the success of a pilot program, set to launch at select locations in the third quarter of 2025..
