The French ProAV and IT integrator Videlio has a new majority owner. As part of a reorganization of the capital structure, the Trévise Participations acquired the majority of the leading European ProAV expert for cruise ships in June. The previous investor Hivest Capital remains on board.
When it comes to ProAV and digital signage on cruise ships, there are only a handful of specialists in Europe. The largest integrator by far is the French Videlio Group, the undisputed market leader with 1,000 employees. In addition to equipping cruise ships with LED, digital signage and stage technology, Videlio is also one of the largest workplace specialists in France and an event and media specialist. In total, the group recorded 2023 sales of 359 million euros with 25 subsidiaries.
The new capital provided Trévise Participations will enable the French group to expand into the next growth phase. Outside of the European cruise business, Videlio has so far been active primarily in France. In Germany, Videlio acquired the integrator Funa, based not far from the Meyer shipyard in Emden.
Hivest Capital Partners took Videlio off the stock exchange in 2021 and successfully guided it through the pandemic with takeovers such as Funa. In contrast to Videlio, not all integrators in the cruise business survived the post-pandemic crisis. In Germany for example, ASC Amptown went bankrupt. Today the remainder of the company is trading as Innovaze Media. (invidis report)
The Videlio management under the leadership of Xavier Renaud will remain on board.
