Google Interview: Operating System for Green Signage
Screens are often seen as energy-hungry devices that consume valuable materials. However, there are ways to make them more environmentally friendly by:
- Reducing their energy consumption
- Reusing them in other environments
- Recycling their components when their lifespan ends
With ChromeOS and ChromeOS Flex, Google has developed a professional operating system that supports these goals. At our Executive Lounge in Munich, where we invited 40 executives with the support of Google, we asked Craig Francis, Digital Signage Partner Manager at Google, how exactly ChromeOS can make screens greener:
- ISE 2026: “Spark” Launches as a New Showcase for the Creative Industries
- M-Cube: “Digital Signage Touches Hearts and Moves Wallets”
- Over 700 Stores: Stratacache Rolls Out Retail Media Network for Iceland Foods
- Germany: DooH Market Surges Over 25% in 2025
