Beijing InfoComm China: Digital Signage in the Year of the Dragon

China is not only the largest manufacturer of digital signage hardware but also the largest market. For the first time in April, invidis is bringing Chinese and global digital signage experts together for a conference, which will also be simultaneously translated into Chinese.

On Saturday, China celebrates New Year and the start of the Year of the Dragon. According to the horoscope, the Year of the Dragon brings fame and wealth. While Dragons may encounter some obstacles on the path to their desires, overall this is a good year for marriages, babies, and new business.

The perfect conditions for invidis’ first digital signage event in China, which will take place on April 17th in Beijing. The digital signage programme is co-organized by Beijing InfoComm China and invidis and part of the Beijing InfoComm China 2024 Summit program/lineup. invidis will present the latest market trends, best practices and panel discussions with Western and Chinese digital signage providers on the state of the Chinese market.

China is not only the largest manufacturer of digital signage hardware but also one of the largest markets for digital signage solutions. In the LED market in particular, around half of the LED cabinets manufactured in China are installed in the domestic market. The other half is sold to customers outside of China.

China has lost some of its luster after the pandemic. But with an expected economic growth of between 4.5% and 5%, China is growing twice as fast as Europe. Not to mention Germany, which is only expected to grow 0.8% this year. The growth driver for digital signage – the demand for screens & Co is expected to grow in double digits again this year – lies not only in education but also in retail and banking.

To discuss trends and drivers, we invite Chinese and Asia regional managers of the retail integrators Trison and M-Cube as well as the Chinese digital signage banking specialist from Terranova to our Beijing InfoComm China panel. China expert Martijn van der Woude (PPDS VP Global Business Development & Marketing from Philips Professional Displays) and green signage expert Doris Li von Absen are also invited to join us at the conference.

More information about speakers and topics will follow after the Chinese New Year holidays at the end of February.

Beijing Infocomm China is the leading ProAV trade fair in China and had almost 35,000 visitors in 2023, 1/3 of which were digital signage end customers. 9,300 conference participants took part in the Beijing Infocomm China Summit. Beijing Infocomm China will take place from April 17-19.
