Google Interview: Operating System for Green Signage

With ChromeOS, Google offers an operating system that can reduce energy consumption. With ChromeOS Flex, old hardware can be revitalized. Craig Francis from Google explains how this works in an interview with invidis.

Screens are often seen as energy-hungry devices that consume valuable materials. However, there are ways to make them more environmentally friendly by:

  • Reducing their energy consumption
  • Reusing them in other environments
  • Recycling their components when their lifespan ends
