Inglewood, LA, is preparing for events like the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the next Summer Olympics with a one-of-a-kind convex LED billboard which sits right over the entrance to the district.
Inglewood in Los Angeles is a hub for major sporting events, with the So-Fi Stadium, the Intuit Dome, and the Kia Forum all located within close proximity to each other. The area is also home to the Sphere-like shared-reality venue, Cosm. Filled with entertainment seekers and tourists all year round, Inglewood is a prime location for out-of-home advertising.
OoH agency Wow Media entered the scene in 2016 and brought oversized digital billboards to the area. Now, Wow Media unveiled its latest and probably most iconic billboard: The Gateway. Located directly over the entrance to Inglewood, The Gateway is a convex DooH screen, reportedly the first of its kind.
As drivers approach Inglewood from a straight-on angle, rather than from the side, this convex screen format is supposed to maximize the illusion of depth for forced perspective content, creating an optical 3D effect. Wow Media hasn’t stated the exact size of the billboard, but from the way it towers over the four-lane stree it’s clear the screen is massive.
Inglewood already host about 500 events annually but in the coming years, it will see an explosion of activity: The area will host some of the world’s largest sport events, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the 2026 NBA All-Star Game, the 2027 Super Bowl, and the 2028 Summer Olympics. Good timing to introduce a new grand DooH billboard.
