Stockholm: Zetadisplay Powers Arlanda Express Network

Digital signage integrator Zetadisplay secures a full-service contract to install 250 new screens and a customized CMS for Arlanda Express, which connects Stockholm Airport with the city center.

Zetadisplay wins a digital signage contract with Arlanda Express, Stockholm’s airport express line. The multi-year agreement includes replacing all digital signage screens on the trains and at the stations and rolling out a customized CMS solution. As a full-service integrator, Zetadisplay has already completed projects for similar clients, including the Airport Express train to Oslo Airport and the Swedish railroad company SJ.

The contract sees the renewal of around 250 digital signage installations, including screens on the express trains and DooH screens on the platforms, marketed by outdoor advertising company Cityreklam.

“In 2023, we conducted a comprehensive strategic review and identified the need for a renewal and modernization of existing digital signage solutions and software platform”, says Axel Nilsson, Chief Commercial Manager at Arlanda Express. “Primarily, we saw the need for combined ownership of our digital signage solutions including our DooH advertising network.”

After working with Zetadisplay, the train company now has its own customized CMS which integrates the information system with the advertising platform. “The strength of the solution is based on a combination of software platform and specialized expertise in the train and transport sector, combined with attractive solutions in DooH”, says Nilsson.

Anders Olin, President and CEO of Zetadisplay, adds: “When we entered this project, we had clear development ambitions for Arlanda express based on our many years of experience with similar complex and technically regulated operating environments from other Airport Express train operators.”

The Arlanda Express, an electric multiple-unit train, has been connecting Arlanda Airport with Stockholm city center since 1999. Traveling at speeds of up to 200 km/h, it covers the distance in 20 minutes.
