Barcelona | While LG’s large MicroLED in the ISE exhibition hall is still covered up, the Koreans are revealing another secret. In a few weeks, LG Business Cloud, a new cloud-native digital signage platform, will be launched. With the launch of a cloud-native software platform, LG is fully in line with the display industry, complementing their broad hardware portfolio with direct-sales software subscriptions.
LG Electronics will introduce the first cloud-based digital signage platform LG Business Cloud at ISE 2024. The new platform offers B2B customers access to digital signage CMS and remote device management solutions from LG and partners. At the beginning LG Business Cloud will run on LG displays and LED solutions with Web OS 6.0 and higher.
With Business Cloud, LG offers a simple sign-up process and provides tutorial videos for different use cases. The market launch will start in North America in the first quarter, with Europe and South Korea to follow.
First solutions: LG SuperSignage Cloud, Pro:Centric Cloud and Connected Care
The first Business Cloud solutions available will be LG’s CMS SuperSign Cloud and the Hotel TV CMS Pro:Centric Cloud. In addition LG will provide digital signage remote device management services via LG ConnectedCare.
In addition to LG’s own solutions, the new business cloud also offers third-party offerings such as art content subscriptions as well as services such as weather, flight and local tourism information.
The new business cloud solution replaces more than a handful of individual LG on-premise software offerings and, for the first time, also offer a marketplace/app store for third-party providers.
“LG Business Cloud is a dedicated platform that simplifies the management of LG digital signage cloud solutions for businesses of all sizes,” said Paik Ki-mun, senior vice president and head of information display business at LG Business Solutions Company. “LG is a complete solutions provider that offers innovative commercial signage displays and convenient, time-saving management software that enhance the customer experience.”
