The PPDS parent company TPV is winning the hearts of Barcelona residents: as the main partner of FC Barcelona, TPV is now supporting the club’s foundation and providing displays for the new Spotify Camp Nou Stadium.
The Taiwanese electronics company TPV announced its partnership with FC Barcelona several months ago, hinting that it would also cover the football club’s home venue, currently undergoing renovations. Now it’s official: PPDS, the professional display division of TPV, is the official supplier for the Spotify Camp Nou Stadium. This means that all digital displays – including large LED boards and smaller LCD screens – come from PPDS.
The exact number of displays or the size of the LED area hasn’t been specified by PPDS, but it could be a record number. After all, Camp Nou, with a capacity of nearly 100,000 spectators, is the world’s largest dedicated football stadium. It is currently undergoing major renovations and is expected to reopen in 2025, apparently in time for ISE 2025.
Partnership extended to FC Barca Foundation
In the same announcement, TPV also revealed its partnership with the FC Barcelona Foundation. With this agreement signed on January 22, the company pledged support for several projects in 2024 and beyond. These sponsorships fall under TPV’s charitable initiative called “TPV Cares.”
The Barça Foundation was established 20 years ago with the aim of using sports as a tool for social change, focusing primarily on children and young people facing difficult situations. FC Barcelona reportedly donates up to 0.7 percent of its annual revenue to the foundation, while players contribute around 0.5 percent of their annual salaries. In the 2022/23 season, a total of over €14.2 million was raised.
20 Euro donation for every visit to the ISE stand
As part of its commitment, PPDS will donate €20 to the foundation for each person who registers for ISE 2024 using the unique Philips code 1RSHCRQR and scans their badge at the Philips stand (3P500) reception desk.
The partnership between TPV Cares and the Barça Foundation strengthens the relationship between TPV and the football giant. TP Vision, the TV division of TPV, became the official “Main Partner” of FC Barcelona in the 2023/2024 season, featuring Philips Ambilight TV branding on the sleeves of the men’s first division jerseys.
