Barcelona | While demand for digital signage solutions in Europe will continue to remain weak in the new year, other regions are growing better. The World Bank expects real GDP growth of 1.3% in the EU and 2.0% in Latin America for 2024. Spain has close cultural and economic ties to LatAm – a good base for the first LatAm conference at ISE.
In the digital signage industry, the connections between Europe and Latin America have always been good. In particular Spanish digital signage providers such as Trison, Instronic, Deneva and nsign.tv are active in LatAm between Mexico and Argentina. Also non-Spanish digital signage software providers such as Telelogos and Navori generate a relevant of their global sales in the region.
In general, co-operation between the EU and the 33 countries of the LAC (Latin America and Caribbean) region is intensively promoted at the political level. Latin America is the EU’s fifth largest trading partner, based on 2022 goods trade data. However, due to global power shifts, the EU has lost significant market share, particularly in goods trade, over the last two decades, mainly to China. As part of the EU-LAC Global Gateway initiative, the EU is providing 30 billion euros in funding for new economic activities of European businesses in the region.
Latin America at ISE 2024
The premier of the two-day European-Latin American AV Summit will take place on January 30th and 31st at ISE. ISE’s Lara Meyer, together with Mateu Hernández (CEO Visit Barcelona), are responsible for the program, which includes both economic policy topics (cross country initiatives) and relevant AV topics.
The ProAV and digital signage focus features presentation and panel discussions on sustainability (green signage), talent development, AI and industry innovations. As part of the summit, invidis will host an integrator panel with leading digital signage integrators from Europe and Latin America.
