How versatile e-paper signage can be shows the Visionect office in Ljubljana. The company uses its tech for wayguiding, as digital wall art and for workplace management.
When Visionect moved into their new office in Ljubljana, they wanted to show what black-and-white e-paper displays can do for a corporate space. The company from Slovenia has long focused on optimizing the classic e-ink displays for digital signage by combining the energy-saving technology with an elegant display case, magnetic wall mount, and a CMS software specifically designed for static content.
In Visionect’s office a 32-inch model from the Place & Play series greets guests with a customizable welcome message. When partners arrive, for example, the team plays out messages like “Welcome, esteemed partners! Please check in at reception and then follow the signs to The Hub”. Visionect also uses the 32-inch e-paper displays throughout the office to guide visitors along their route. Additionally, 13-inch displays provide Wi-Fi information to guests.
For workplace management, Visionect uses displays and a booking tool from its sister company, Joan. Outside the meeting rooms, 6-inch touchscreens allow users to reserve a room with a single tap. The system automatically synchronizes these bookings with the company-wide calendar.
Employees can use the Joan app to reserve desks and workstations before coming into the office. The app features a floor plan that shows where colleagues are located. Guests can check in using a QR code and an online interface.
Finally, Visionect incorporates its own technology into the office décor by using digital picture frames from Ionnyk, which are based on Visionect technology, as digital murals. These frames switch between different paintings and photographs, mimicking the effect of ink on paper, blending classic aesthetics with modern technology.
