This week’s highlights on Sixteen:Nine, our North American content partner: How Blue Square X fills a market gap by providing custom content for LEDs, a telecom tower in Oman that doubles as a massive DooH display, and details about next year’s Sixteen:Nine mixer at ISE.
Last week, Sixteen:Nine reported on a new company calles Blue Square X that not only manufactures LED displays but also develops experiental content for the same displays. A novel concept but one that answers to the never-ending challenge of “feeding the beast” or filling large, expensive digital walls with content of the same quality.
Blue Square X’s Director of Innovation, Chanan Averbruch, is the guest on this week’s Sixteen:Nine podcast episode. With host Dave Haynes, Averbruch speaks about the challenges LED video wall manufacturers face in differentiating themselves in a crowded market. He explains how Blue Square X aims to bridge gaps by offering consulting and content creation services, in collaboration with integrators who handle the final installation.
This week, videos emerged on social media of a telecom tower in Oman that has been uniquely transformed into a dual-purpose structure, serving as both a cell phone tower and a large LED display for advertising and community messages. Dave wrote more on this smart city approach:
The Sixteen:Nine mixers at ISE in Barcelona are quite famous in the digital signage industry and always sold out in days. This week, Dave confirmed there will be another one at next year’s ISE in February 2025. More details on the event and on how to become a sponsor in this post:
