Canada-based Solotech, one of the world’s largest live production service providers, purchased more than 5,000 square meters of LED tiles from ROE, including 4,500 square meters of identical carbon LED from a production batch. According to ROE and Solotech, this is the largest known single LED order.
With 2,000 employees, Solotech looks after around 40 percent of the world’s largest music tours as well as some permanent installations, such as those often found in Las Vegas. The AV service provider became big mainly through Cirque du Soleil, which is also based in Montreal.
To prepare for the 2024 summer of sports and touring, Solotech ordered over 5,000 square meters of rental LED. Typically, service providers like Solotech rent equipment from dry hire specialists such as Lang or PRG. However, for special projects like Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour and Adele’s month-long residency in Munich with the world’s largest LED stage, Solotech was able to directly from the manufacturer.
At the beginning of May, Solotech and ROE announced the purchase and sale of 5,000 square meters of LED, including 4,500 square meters of identical carbon LED tiles. According to Solotech, this order of ROE CB5 Mark II 5.77mm Pixelpitch Carbon LED tiles is the largest single batch ever recorded.
